When it comes to Leo the Lion – or Lioness – it’s “go big or go home.” Like their totem animal, Leos rule their kingdoms and queendoms with great pride. They are bold and resilient, and they are passion embodied.

Fierce Leo loves to dance on the edge, seeing how close they can get without falling off. They have lots of energy, powered by their ruler the Sun, but like a bright flash, expend it quickly, requiring long periods of rest to renew their charge.

Although their temper can be slow rise, once it does – watch out! It you make the Lion get up, its large paw will come down on you and it will roar loudly. Leos tend to calm after a few minutes and soon forget about the fuss. However, those left in the wake are not so lucky. Do you ever forget the roar of the lion in the Serengeti?

Leos, like Cancers, are easily hurt. And like Cancers who retreat into a shell, Leos will remove themselves from the group until their physical and emotional injuries are healed.

If you hurt a Leo, the Lion will forgive, but will not forget.

As bold and charismatic as Leos can be, they can be just as fearful and insecure. They are always afraid others will learn that they are not as good as Leos think they are. They fear that they are too much, too loud, too emotional, and too dramatic for others.

Those looking to partner with a Leo, be warned, they can be too much. And you better bring the fire and be able to handle the fire!
