A New Age Christian: My Spiritual Journey
Your zodiac sun sign signifies the energy on which your Soul incarnated this lifetime. Though there are numerous additional factors influencing the overall map of your Soul, your sun sign plays a major role in your life. Yoursun sign reveals your consciousness of self as a unique human being.
The person who is Taurus incarnated to establish an enlightened system of values that transcends attachment to material possessions and persons. Therefore, many of her soul lessons will involve dealing with physical plane responsibilities and seeking a balance between the desire to possess and greed. Taurus tends to be dependent and prefers a relationship in which she both possesses the other person and feels possessed by him. Her soul lesson involves learning to “let go” within relationships and to assume a measure of independence. Taurus’s greatest fear is that of personal or material loss.
A Taurus incarnation will involve confronting her passions and instincts as she strives to determine for herself the extent to which she will be controlled by them. Taurus must put forth a major effort to overcome inertia and fear of change. For this reason, she may feel that life pushes her around, rather than that she is in charge.
For example: Taurus may be unhappy or filled with resentment over her job situation, yet neglect to get busy and make the changes needed to bring about personal fulfillment. Her passion is to possess; her instinct is to remain in the familiar, where she feels secure. Thus, Taurus often convinces herself that she has no choice.
The Taurus incarnation is to be a highly creative one. This creativity needs to be encouraged and developed at an early age. If Taurus is allowed to grow up with no creative outlets, she, as an adult, often has great difficulty in learning to express that creativity. For to do so would be to change her habits-an activity Taurus will attempt to avoid until forced to do so by life’s circumstances. Taurus needs to create with the use of physical tools. Some type of creative (sometimes musical) expression is important for her well-being.
The Taurus individual who is attuned to and expressing her creativity can be a resource of healing and transformation for others. Taurus possesses the capacity to infuse life into her creations.
my personal key takeaways for this full moon energy:
1. embrace the mystery and ALL the parts, even the seemingly yucky ones, they’re part of the whole
2. good time for shadow work, look at the roots, get past the surface
3. unplug, spend some time with beauty, allow inspiration to flow
4. be open to love, pleasure, and connection coming from places we don’t expect
Tomorrow, 2016’s only full moon in Scorpio charges the air with mystery and seduction. A spring fever outbreak could become pandemic over the weekend. Meow! Intense attractions that have been bubbling in the background could explode into a passionate, bodice-ripping good time. Privacy please! What happens in Scorpioville stays in Scorpioville and there may be a hush-hush or even clandestine quality to Friday’s events.
The urge to merge heats up, both for pleasure AND business. Events in the boardroom could be as intriguing as those in the bedroom. And since Scorpio rules big money like investments, inheritances, loans and tax returns, we could make some bank (or break it) under these moonbeams. With the right collaborators, pure bliss or profitability are written in the stars. Lawyer up and make these lasting partnerships “officially official.”
Colors: Bright primary colors — red, yellow, blue — and their combinations

This is a good time to work on magic related to new beginnings. Looking to bring new love into your life, or conceive or adopt a child? This is the time to do those workings. It’s the time to stop planning, and start doing. Take all those ideas you’ve had brewing for the past couple of months, and make them come to fruition.
Also Known As: Seed Moon
In April, the thunderstorms of March are beginning to subside, and the wind picks up. Seeds are being blown about on the breezes, spreading life all around from one place to the next. In fact, this lunar cycle is often known as the Seed Moon. Trees have buds on them, spring daffodils and tulips abound, and the birds are nesting once more. Much like March, this is a time of conception and fertility and new growth.
This full moon in Scorpio contributes to better focus and better concentration. This time marks an increase in sharpness of the mind. It is a favorable time for work in science, math and psychology. People with an extraordinary ability in these areas will be very affected. This moon is asking us to search for solutions to the root of our present problems; a shallow analysis will not help you resolve the problem once and for all. You may feel tempted to become more critical in your personal relationships and lose your sense of measure and tact. At this time sexual relationships may be tested.
from mooncircles: scorpio full moon, the guts of love
“The Scorpio Full Moon sheds light on the honest, bloody, ooey-gooey guts of things. The truth is, we cannot be wholly loved without being whole, and we cannot be whole without being fully seen and loved by another, our icky, wounded parts and all. Whether we’ve been struggling with hidden patterns in intimacy, or we feel blocked from moving forward in our lives, this Full Moon shines light into the darkness. Under her cool light, our resource is the degree of emotional intimacy and honesty we have with our self.
There’s always a breakout moment in relationship, a critical point where all our shadow stuff is, often gracelessly and perhaps dramatically, revealed. Yet this isn’t a disaster. It could be the moment where we find the courage and love in our heart to fully face our self, our most unattractive parts, our deepest fears. It could be the moment where our greatest love meets our greatest pain, and loves us through it.”
from the power path:
“Reach out to your community today and have some quality fun and social time. This is also a good day to put yourself first. Do a ceremony or give yourself a gift. Unplug for a few hours and spend some time in beauty, being inspired and exploring the higher mind and new ideas.
The Sun moved into earthy Taurus on April 19. The energy shifts; Venus becomes the ruling planet in Aries. She’s our connection to pleasure, beauty, social graces and relationship. She’s now closely aligned with Uranus, who’s not that into conventionality. (Eris is right there, too). So excitement, exploration, disruption, platonic adventure is helping us look through a new lens. We’re finding love, pleasure, connection in places where we never thought to look.
The month ends with Mercury joining the bandwagon and turning retrograde on Thursday, April 28 for the second time this year. It will appear to stop at 24º Taurus and regress until May 22 to 14º Taurus and will not fully regain its original degree again until June 7. Taurus wants us to figure out what we value, see where our loyalties lie, conserve our resources, and take a deep look at our self worth and self esteem. You may become aware of the stubborn, fixed, acquisitive aspects of yourself. Consider others. It’s a good time to slow down and turn to artistic, aesthetic pursuits and to really indulge in the pleasures of nature- so rejuvenating and revitalizing at this time.”
got this from a great site called Pagan Portal –
“The word “Pagan” comes from the latin word “Paganus” which translate into “country dweller”.
Pagans believe that all things existing in the universe are connected.
We all share an energy, life force…we are all a part of the Divine.
Because of this inter-connectedness, we can use our energy to communicate with other energies and the Divine to help bring about changes or improvements we need in our life or the lives of others. This is often done through ritual. We may just want to communicate to give ourselves a sense of peace and belonging or even to thank the divine and show our appreciation.
Methods of using our energy to interact with the universe vary depending on the tradition passed on and used by the individual; but most traditions use meditation, visualization, singing, dancing in a ritual to help the mind focus and make our energy more powerful.
Pagans also have a very high reverence for nature. Many of their rituals are performed at holidays and celebrations that directly correspond to the changing seasons. Early pagans, country dwellers, relied on seasonal good weather for the survival of their livestock and crops.
So as you can see, Pagans, which include those referred to as witches, are nothing like Hollywood’s evil devil worshiping spell casters. In fact, Pagans don’t even believe in the devil. They believe the devil was something conjured up by those that wanted to scare people into becoming Christians.
Pagans are (harmless) nature loving people communing with the universe!
Blessed be to all the wonderful Pagans!”
Pluto retrograde can be a welcome time out from the intensity of change, and a chance to integrate and get introspective about our choices. On a personal level, we can re-evaluate what “keeping up with the Joneses” really means while Pluto backspins through Capricorn. It’s not about buying more stuff or leaving a huge carbon footprint, but rather, making meaningful choices that create a legacy instead. But do watch out for power struggles and shady characters slipping past the good judgment radar. Pluto retrograde can rouse dormant rivalries and throw off our intuition. Take nothing at face value and run those background checks!
During the Pluto retrograde phase, it is most powerful to surrender internally to any process we experience around empowerment or disempowerment. As best as you can, take it all in, and see where you would like to make adjustments. You will get a chance to do just that for the next 5 months.
Tap into a place of authenticity from within — embrace all of you: the good, the bad, and the ugly. You can ask yourself: what habits, behaviors or fears are holding me back from feeling fully empowered from within? How can I love all of me — the light and the dark?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-18 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn? If so, this retrograde phase will affect you more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio (Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)
Yesterday (4/17), Mars changed directions, backing into retrograde mode until June 29.
Mars retrogrades happen every other year and can create crossed wires and “power outages” in Mars-ruled areas of life: our drive, motivation, lust, assertiveness, and initiative. This is NOT the time to take uncalculated risks or play the daredevil role. It’s easy to overlook hidden dangers so read the rule books and remember that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Practice anger management, too! Firebrand Mars in retrograde can cause tempers to flare unnecessarily; it can also boost sex drives, so easy does it with the spring flings because knowing who we’re getting in bed with—literally and figuratively, personally and in business—is a matter deserving extra precaution.
Mars rules metals and heavy machinery, making this a less-than-optimal time for such purchases, at least without a guarantee and warranty.
For the first seven weeks, the red planet will retreat through fiery Sagittarius; then, on May 27 will plunge back through Scorpio’s murky waters until turning direct on June 29. Careful about detonating any truth bombs between now and late May because not only will this burn bridges but could blow ’em up for good.
On a positive note, Mars retrograde gives us a chance to pause, reflect, review and refine all our ambitious 2016 plans. Where are we working too autonomously and putting the cart before the horse? While Mars spurs our independent natures, it isn’t always best to go it alone. Bring in the big guns and seek expert advice, and by July we could leap into a new league.
What to Reflect on During Mars Retrograde
Are you asserting yourself appropriately in your life?
What are you being shown by the Universe?
How are people responding to the way you take action?
What do you need to go back to and change in order to proceed with your goals and aspirations?
Which of your past decisions, ideas, or initiatives should you now experimentally proceed with?
mid to end-April (cont)
A square between Neptune and Mars from 3rd to 26th April may confuse our motivation and find us fighting other peoples’ battles instead of our own, motivated by an un-articulated imperative hidden in the darkened corners of our psyche.
We may be vulnerable to influences not in our interests now and people who want to place their words in our mouths and their feelings in our hearts. Conflict may be especially messy and is really best avoided if at all possible.
When tempers begin to flare or passions are aroused, commit to taking time out and creating peaceful space in which you and others can reflect, relax and return to state of balance before things get out of hand. The more we can each do this the greater will be the possibility of peace at a collective as well as personal level.
